Apostles are the first part of the foundation of the Church of Christ based on Ephe. 2v. 20. Their ministry is a must and therefore their training is the toughest. Ephe. 4v. 11 says that God first apointed apostles. Apostles are first in the Church and as a result, they need thorough training by Yahweh Elohim. An apostle uses one or more of the other ministries mentioned in Ephe. 4v. 11 to fulfill his or her apostolic calling. For example, Apostle Paul used the offices of teacher and evengelist. John was a prophet and teacher. Apostles see many visions, and are often given a chance to see the third heaven. They have great manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit, and so God first trains them very thoroughly.
Training is through things like prolonged financial hardships, torment by messengers of Satan based on 2 Cor. 12vv. 7-9, being placed in places or jobs under arrogant seniors, slander by other Christians, rejection by society like John was rejected and banished to Patmos from where he wrote Revelation, physical attacks like those Jesus went through, etc. These things are usually painful and God allows them upon an apostle so that he may solidfy the apostolic anointing before fully commissioning him or her. Many people are calling themselves apostles but have never gone through the training of an apostle. I did not know I was called as an apostle untill some prophets revealed to me what God had said about me. I was wondering why I was going through so much pain when other saints seemed to be easily succeeding. I had lost my left leg through an accident (but God said he will restore it back), then later my job, and many so called friends were slandering me. At that time I was seeing many great visions. Angels could be seen around me. I could see the third heaven. I saw golrified saints in heaven and could hear the audible voice of God. I was wondering why God could show me all these things and not remove my pain.
And this is not all. In 2005, I suddenly started being physically attacked by invisible beings. They pierced me with sharp objects, and did torment me much. Sometimes I could see God's fire swallow them. They later disappeared and God's glory covered me. Many of my friends started fearing me because of those attacks. Others called me a devil worshiper because when they prayed for me, the devils attacking me attacked them also. God told me I was in a spiritual warfare and would be over. Later, the demons were totally defeated. This was part of my training. If you think you are an apostle but have never gone through pain or trials for more than three years, you may not be an apostle. The apostle Paul was three years in the wilderness being trained by Jesus.
