Roman Catholicism is a mixture of paganism and twisted Scriptures and as a result it is not a true Christian denomination but a pagan Christian Cult. In short, it is syncretic in nature. Some of the pagan doctrines and practices in which it is founded are the use of idols like the rosary, prayer beads, and believe in anti biblical doctrines like purgatory, baby baptism by sprinkling of water instead of baptism of born again accountable Christians by immersion, prayer for dead people to be saved, among others. These things are not found anywhere in the Bible and were not practiced by the early Church as is seen in the book of Acts. If a doctrine not founded on the Scriptures, then the religion which follows it is of the devil, not of Yahweh. First, look at the few Scriptures below:
Exodus 20v. 4 states: “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.”
Leviticus 19v. 31 states: “Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.”
John 16v. 26 states: "In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf."
Exodus 32v. 4 states: “He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, "These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.”
In light of the above Scriptures, it is true that Roman Catholicism has not been following what the Bible teaches and so is not a Christian denomination but a demonic Christian cult. The Roman Catholic Church uses idols representing their gods in worship contrary to the above Scriptures. When they mention the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost, they are referring to pagan gods, not the biblical Yahweh. The above verses show very clearly it is a sin for anyone to make an image for use in worship to God. We see that it was a sin for Aaron to make a golden calf to represent Yahweh who brought Israel out of Egypt in the above verses. Because Catholics use images representing gods, they are not true Christians. The above verses also say that we shall not ask Jesus after he left the earth to pray for us. We the living shall pray for ourselves or for each other. It is a sin therefore for Catholics to ask any departed person to pray for them. The verses say that it is a sin to seek the dead, but the Catholics worship dead saints. They pray to Virgin Mary and other departed saints when we are commanded to pray for ourselves. Consulting spirits of dead people is witchcraft and Catholics are full of witchcraft as they seek the spirits of dead people.
And the Roman Catholic Church has elevated traditions emanating from paganism over Scripture according to http://rekindlingthereformation.com which writes “ The Catholic Church has, in the past, tried to prohibit the reading and distribution of the Word of God. In fact, Pope Paul IV listed the Scriptures under the Index of Prohibited Books in 1599. In 1462, Archbishop Adolphus broke up the printing establishments of Gutenberg and Schoeffer in order to prevent Bible circulation.i When banning the Bible could not quench the Word, the Word was made void through the doctrines of higher criticism. The authority of tradition was made more important than Scripture. The Church’s teachings that are in direct opposition to the plain “Thus saith the Lord.” Even today, Rome has not changed this stance: The fact that Scripture and Tradition belong together accounts for two rules that direct the way the Church approaches God’s revelation. The first of these rules is stated very simply by Vatican II in these words: It follows from what has been said that the Church does not draw its knowledge of all that God has revealed from holy Scripture alone. That is why both (Tradition and Scripture) must be accepted and respected with equal affection and honour. Secondly, the unbreakable bond between Scripture and Tradition accounts for the fact that for Catholics, Tradition is the context within which the Scriptures are interpreted, just as Tradition itself has to be understood and lived with reference to Scripture.ii Now if God commands me under pain of damnation to believe what He has taught, He is bound to give me the means to know what He has taught. What is this means? "The Bible," say the Protestants. But we Catholics say, "No, not the Bible, but the Church of God."iii Jesus had a strong rebuke in John 5:46-47 for those who chose to question the validity of Scripture: For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me, for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?”
If they do not want people to read the word of God, who do they serve? I have personally attempted to give a Christian book to a Roman Catholic friend of mine, but she refused because they are told not to read the Bible or books teaching about the Bible. Roman Catholics only believe what the Pope through his assistants says, not what the Bible teaches. Catholics worship the Pope and other saints or Catholics, both alive and dead. The Bible is against these things, but as long as the Pope has said it, they MUST obey. There are many Satanic things about Roman Catholicism which I am not able to write here as they would require a whole book. Just know that if you are a Catholic, you MUST be born again, or you will go to hell. There is no purgatory where you will be prayed for by the living after death to get saved. You either become a saint now, or you die a sinner and remain a sinner for ever. The gods of Catholics are demons which use the name of Jesus, the Father, and Holy Ghost to deceive people. Paul told Timothy that there will be doctrines taught by demons in the last days. He also told Timothy that these false teachers will forbid others to marry and to eat some foods. That is exactly what is happening in the Catholic Church.
